Art framer salary9/11/2023 ![]() you have to multitask and deal with multiple customers at a time with no help. you are left alone on your first shift and are scheduled alone during almost every shift. you are hardly trained and then yelled at when you don’t get everything done on time with no guidance. work is so much for so little pay, job is stressful and you are way overworked. Job pays horrible, could make more down the street at any other store that is entry level. We would frequently work busy shifts understaffed because management was trying to reduce labor costs. If you needed to call in because of an emergency / sickness they were always willing to work with you and never made you feel guilty for taking time off. Most of my coworkers were hard working and friendly, and the majority of managers were very helpful and sympathetic to employee needs. If you enjoy crafting then you'll like walking the aisles and discovering new things. I worked at Michaels for a few years, and I was hired specifically to work in the Framing department, as I had previous framing experience, but had many retail associate (cashier) shifts as well.
